Between the drilling head 3 and the stop ring 2 on the shank 1 of the drill, there is a section having a thickening 5 that serves as a tilting support when an extension 6 is formed at the bottom of the hole. In this case, the thickening 5 abuts against the wall 7 and has a cylindrical shape in this area, with the turning limit being limited by the shape of the thickening 5. Thus, extensions of 6 different diameters can be made at the bottom of the drilled hole. The retaining ring 2 is rigidly fixed on the shank 1 by means of crimping or otherwise, and limits the depth of entry of the drilling head 3. In order to remove the drilling mud from the drilled hole 7, the drill shank 1 has grooves for the drill flutes 8, which extend from the drill head 3 through the thickening 5 through the stop ring 2 to the straight part of the drill shank. FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of a drilling device in which the retaining ring 2 is fixed by means of a spring washer 9, which is inserted into an annular groove on the shank 1. At the widest point of the bulge 5, a bearing ring 10 is provided, which has a smooth, convex surface corresponding to the shape of the bulge 5.
